Calculus Applets These pages present interactive Java applets for teaching and learning single variable calculus. They use graphs and tables to illustrate concepts in calculus and allow the user to dynamically change the functions involved or the point on the graph that is of interest. These pages can be explored by students learning calculus, or used by teachers while teaching calculus.

Mathematics Archives WWW Server The goal of the Mathematics Archives is to provide organized Internet access to a wide variety of mathematical resources. The primary emphasis is on materials which are used in the teaching of mathematics. Currently the Archives is particularly strong in its collection of educational software.
Visual Math Learning Free Online Math Tutorial site with Flash programs designed to provide parents and classroom teachers with the means to better employ visual imagery. It is designed as a supplementary resource to help students in their mastery of mathematics.

Ideally suited for secondary school students who wish to develop their mathematical problem solving or thinking skills. PROJECT INTERACTIVATE The materials for project interactivate fall into three main categories: activities, discussions, and lessons. Graphing Rectilinear Motion This page has a java applet which graphs and produces a table for rectilinear motion that you initiate.  It will also test your ability to move to fit a graph or table.

The Diamond 16 Puzzle Online puzzle illustrating principles of symmetry and permutation groups. Solve the puzzle and make a variety of symmetric designs along the way. A link to related theory is provided.

Virtual Reality Polyhedra This site by Polyhedra sculptor George Hart has, among other things, virtual reality polyhedra that can be examined in 3D.  This requires a VRML viewer that most up to date browsers will have.
Explore Math Site This site has a series of multimedia maths activities that operate using shockwave (a web plug in). Great when you work out how to use them, they demonstrate a variety of concepts e.g Complex numbers in polar form.
Manipula Math with Java This site has a large number of Java applets to demonstrate various maths principles and relationships.  Although not easy to use these are excellent for hands on with bright students.
CIESE Online Projects The Centre for Improved Engineering and Science Education provides a series of online projects, many with a mathematical slant.  These are high quality tasks often using real time data.
Eucid's Elements Online WOW!  You can access the complete Euclid's Elements online plus other related resources at this site.
Probabilistic Learning Activities Network On-line probability activities in the form of applets and spreadsheets. Aimed at high school students. Cross-curricular links section. Students and teachers can contribute.
