Percentages are often used in advertising.
This advertisement for Burswood Public Golf Course shows that you can get a percentage discount of 33% if you play before July 31st.
TASK 1:

A percentage discount gives a better idea of how much has been taken off the price of an item. To determine a percentage discount the following formula is used:

For example: The Golf Course advertisement quoted 9 holes of golf for $8 instead of $12.
